Powered by a magnificent century from Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Rajshahi Warriors laid a strong foundation for victory early on. The bowlers then completed the job with precision. Chasing a daunting target of 175 runs, Chattogram Royals’ batting lineup collapsed like a house of cards under the fiery bowling of Binura Fernando and Hasan Murad. In a one-sided final, Rajshahi defeated Chattogram by a massive 63 runs to be crowned champions of the 12th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League. Chattogram, led by Sheikh Mahedi Hasan, were bowled out for just 111 runs.

This is Rajshahi’s second BPL title. The franchise had previously won the championship in the 2019–20 season under the name Rajshahi Royals. In BPL history, Comilla Victorians remain the most successful team with four titles, followed by Dhaka with three. Barishal have won the trophy twice, equal to Rajshahi, while Rangpur Riders have lifted the title once.

Chattogram suffered early setbacks while chasing the big total. Rajshahi seized control of the match in the third over of the innings, when Sri Lankan pacer Binura Fernando struck twice. He first bowled Naim Sheikh, who scored 9 off 10 balls, and on the very next delivery had Mahmudul Hasan Joy (0) caught by Tanzid. Fernando struck again in the final over of the powerplay, dismissing Hasan Nawaz (11). With 41 runs on the board for the loss of three wickets in six overs, Chattogram were pushed firmly onto the back foot.
