The BPL final turned out to be a one-sided affair as Rajshahi Warriors comfortably defeated Chattogram Royals to lift the title. On Friday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Rajshahi secured a 63-run victory to claim their second BPL championship.
Batting first after losing the toss, Rajshahi posted 174 runs in 20 overs, powered by a brilliant century from opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim. He scored exactly 100 off 62 balls, becoming only the third batter to score a century in a BPL final. Sahibzada Farhan added 30, while Kane Williamson contributed 24.
In reply, Chattogram Royals collapsed under pressure and were bowled out for just 111 runs. Binura Fernando starred with the ball, taking four wickets, while Hasan Murad claimed three.
This win marks Rajshahi’s second BPL title, their first coming in the 2019–20 season under the name Rajshahi Royals.
